THE CANDIDA CURSE & SOME HELP TO OVERCOME IT

Oral Thrush
Candida Albicans is a yeast that occurs naturally in the human body. Normally it lives in harmony with a variety of other microorganisms and actually performs a couple of important functions.  The problem occurs when something upsets the balance of bacteria in the body and this allows the yeast organism to grow like wild fire and kill off all the healthy bacteria.

Candida can normally be found  in the gut, mouth, throat and around the genitals, however it can make holes through the gut and enter the blood stream and then invades most any organ in the body. To add insult to injury, candida produces over 70 different toxins which are absorbed into the body.

When this happens it can become the initiator of many common maladies, conditions, syndromes and illnesses in our population.
Candida can range from irritating to totally incapacitating. It is one of the banes of modern society. Yes, it has been around for as long as people and animals have been around but it is mainly a curse of the modern culture because of the use of antibiotics.

Antibiotics have been a real blessing to people and have saved hundreds of thousands of lives since penicillin was discovered and used. However, the over-prescribing of antibiotics has seen the escalation in the scope and spread of candida.

Antibiotics kill off the 'good' bacteria which keep yeast growth stunted and once these bacteria are killed off, then Candida spreads.

So how to treat Candida? Most doctors will not acknowledge the over-proliferation of candida until one gets a severe throat, mouth or genital yeast infection. Then they tend to prescribe anti-fungal medicines which have a severe effect on the body with potentially nasty consequences.

The two main ways to prevent a yeast infection, is to keep your diet free of sugar and highly refined foods and limit the use of antibiotics. If you are taking antibiotics make sure to take a high acidophilus probiotic during the course of the antibiotic and for a while afterwards.

While doing some research into Candida I found a site with useful reviews of 3 Top Natural Candida Treatments. It's just great that people are reviewing products so we don't have to chase all around the internet.

I will be reviewing treatments for hemorrhoids next time so keep a look out for it.
